Choose to Rebel

I choose to rebel…

I rebel against this world and its deceitful ways, against the lies of the enemy, against the chains entangling the people on the streets. I rebel against status quo, against complacency and all that steals, dims and hinders hope. I rebel against despair and the thought that nothing can or ever will change. I rebel against the war on people’s souls and all that challenges freedom. I rebel against boring prayer meetings, sleepy worship and satisfaction in lack. I rebel against hatred, against bitterness and against vengeance. I rebel against the world’s wisdom, false motives and “the slow pace” of human ability. I rebel against lack of power, lack of grace and refusing to offer mercy. I rebel against a lack of love, the lie of death and all enemy strongholds.

In the face of adversity I choose life, hope, love, grace, peace, forgiveness and glory to be given to the Lord.

I am a fighter, one who wars for freedom and states plainly my cause. I cry out against the traditions of man that exploit people’s souls – I will not pay your temple tax.  I choose to stand when the world taunts me to crumble beneath the weight of ropes and chains too heavy to see with their blindness. I’ll choose to walk in the light when darkness is the never passing fad and the church has chosen her twilight. Acceptance is not my standard. My choice is plain and clear – the unyielding kingdom of heaven on an Earth hurling towards Sheol.

I call the dead to rise, rise, rise – 20 beds in a row I will not tarry or hesitate – you’ll become one with Jesus if you’ll lay everything down before the pearly gates.

Narrow is fine and pressure too, because it is the destination I cling to. I won’t let trees and rocks beat an heir to the throne. How dare they cry louder then the Children of Creation. I’ll raise my voice beyond their decibel, my King’s pleasure the note I am striving for.
